Measurement Tips

• Wear undergarments similar to those you’ll pair with your dress; avoid measuring over other clothing.
• Ensure the tape measure is parallel to the floor, pulled evenly without slack.
• For precision, consider professional measuring services.

Standard Dresses

Bust

• ❌ Not your bra size! Wear a regular bra.
• Relax arms at sides; wrap the tape around the fullest part of the bust.

Waist

• Locate the natural waist (smallest part, ~1 in above the navel).
• Keep the tape slightly loose for comfort.

Hips

• Measure the widest part of the hips (~7 in below the natural waist).
• Tape should lightly brush both hipbones.

Shoulder Width

• From the edge of one shoulder socket, measure across the back to the same point on the other shoulder.

Hollow to Floor (Bare Foot)

• Stand straight with feet together, barefoot.
• Start at the hollow between collarbones; measure vertically to the floor.
• For high heels, add 5 cm to custom floor-length/train dresses.

Height

• Stand barefoot with feet together; measure from the top of the head to the floor.

Maternity Dresses

Upper Bust

• Arms relaxed at sides; measure the highest point of the chest, just under the arms.

Bust

• Same as standard bust measurement (wear a bra, not your bra size).

Under Bust

• Measure immediately below the breasts.

Around Belly

• Wrap the tape around the fullest part of the belly, keeping it loosely comfortable.

Hips

• Measure the widest circumference of the hips, approximately 7 inches (18 cm) below the natural waistline.
• Ensure the tape passes over the fullest part of the buttocks and remains parallel to the floor, brushing lightly across both hipbones.

Hollow to Floor (Bare Foot)

• Stand upright with feet together, barefoot.
• Begin at the hollow space between the collarbones (suprasternal notch) and extend the tape vertically to the floor.
• For high heels: Add 5 cm to the measurement for custom floor-length dresses or gowns with trains to account for heel height.

Height

• Stand barefoot with feet together and legs straight.
• Measure from the top of the head (crown) to the floor, keeping the tape taut and vertical.

Bridal Jackets/ Mini Wraps

Bust

• Not your bra size! Wrap the tape around the back and across the fullest part of the bust.

Shoulder

• Same as standard shoulder width measurement: across the back between shoulder sockets.

Arm Length

• From the shoulder point (where the sleeve meets the shoulder) to the wrist bone.

Armscye

• Measure from the top of the shoulder, down the front, under the armpit, and up the back of the shoulder.
